Our 3-day Introduction to Ski Touring course is designed for experienced resort skiers looking to be introduced to Australia’s stunning backcountry. Camping in Jindabyne each night, you’ll spend your days immersed in accessible alpine terrain, learning essential skills for safe and enjoyable ski touring, all while returning to the comfort of town each night.
Backcountry touring requires adaptability, and this course embraces a flexible itinerary to account for the dynamic nature of weather and snow conditions in the Australian backcountry. You’ll be involved in this process, learning not only how to plan effectively but how to adjust to the ever-changing alpine environment.
This course is perfect for those who want to dip their toes into backcountry skiing without the commitment of overnight camping in the backcountry.
