Ensuring the long-term safety of fixed protection on climbing routes through collaborative, grassroots maintenance efforts.

ACT

CCA is involved in many consultations with the ACT and NSW parks and conservation government services, about access to climbing areas. We work closely with the ACT Parks and Conservation Service to repair and maintain access tracks to climbing areas, particularly in the aftermath of bushfires.

NSW

The peak body related to access and stewardship for recreational rockclimbing in New South Wales. As a non-profit entity, ACANSW serves as the voice of the climbing community, working tirelessly to secure and maintain access to climbing areas through collaboration with governmental bodies and land managers.

Cragcare is an initiative by Blue Mountains rock climbers. Climbers maintaining, protecting and enhancing our local climbing areas with the local community, Council, government agencies and businesses.

An initiative of the Hunter/Central Coast coalition of ACANSW with frequent events in the region’s National Parks.

Lobby government for recognition of rock climbing in masterplans. Advocate for climbing to be an approved activity in school programs. Promote the sport of climbing for commercial, government, public recognition and public benefit;

Qld

Advocating to protect and increase access to outdoor climbing areas, legitimising the climbing community as stakeholders in plans impacting outdoor recreational spaces, giving the climbing community a voice regarding land access issues, in the private, local government and state government sectors.

SA

Represents rock climbers in SA by serving as a meeting point and voice for individual climbers, and deals with National Parks and private landowners regarding access issues etc.

We are a community based conservation group providing volunteer help to the National Parks and Wildlife Service of South Australia

Tas

Facilitating access to climbing areas and representing climbers’ views to public and private landowners, government and other organisations.

Our mission is to mitigate that impact, and in doing so to help preserve the places and lifestyle we love. We are achieving this through erosion and weed control, rubbish removal and track maintenance, community education, and respectful dialogues with land managers and owners.​​

Vic

The peak body for outdoor climbing in Victoria. Advocating on behalf of our member organisations and individuals for climbing in Victoria. Engaging with Government, Land Managers and Traditional Owners.

The VCC is committed to the promotion and protection of the sport of rock climbing. The Victorian Climbing Club formed in 1952 and is still going strong. They organise regular climbing trips, and support the climbing community through access advocacy and environmental stewardship.

The ACAV represents the interests of the Victorian climbing community and aims to promote and protect access to rock climbing in Victoria while being respectful of the unique cultural and environmental values of areas where rock climbing takes place.

CSV acknowledges First Nations peoples’ continuous connections with country over thousands of years. We respect their cultural heritage and their right to determine how their country should be cared for today. We aim to work with each Representative Aboriginal Party to best understand how our program can support their plans for caring for Country.

WA

Promote and develop rock climbing, especially in WA; protect and promote the interests of rock climbers in WA; provide an institution for rock climbers to meet; formulate and publish guidelines.
