Canyoning in the Blue Mountains
Created over millions of years, the running streams have methodically carved their way down through the Blue Mountain's sandstone plateau to form what is one of the most complex, intricate and visually spectacular canyon systems in the world!
Exploring canyons requires an assortment of skills from swimming to wading and abseiling. Canyoners can expect to jump into pools of crystal clear water, swim through long passages, abseil down cascading waterfalls and paddle leisurely through subterranean waterways! The canyons are home to much unique plant and animal life including colourful flora, lush ferns, exotic mosses, native fish and multicoloured yabbies which can all be seen on a day in the canyons.
Our canyon tours are high quality, professionally guided groups which enable the participants to experience the finest the canyon ecosystem has to offer. Most canyoning tours operate during the warmer months of the year (start of October to the end of April) except for 'dry' canyons which operate all year round.
